I am Mary Lee, the part-time accountant here at Central Christian.  After my 3 oldest children flew the coop, I wanted to adopt.  Be careful what you pray for because God has a sense of humor!  I was presented with a very high energy 13 year old 7 years ago.  Now I pray for energy and patience! She keeps me on my toes as I've had to learn a whole new style of parenting.  I also love spending time with my grand-children and mini vacations/games nights with my friends.

After graduating from South Side High School, I attended Manchester College.  Life experiences are the best education though.  I worked for 23 years at EACS, first as a bookkeeper and then moving into curriculum administration. I also worked as Youth Director for 10 years at Emanuel Lutheran Church, also serving on church council.  I retired in January 2025 but here I am!

I love that Central Christian is Christ-centered and offers the Answers in Genesis curriculum.  Nothing beats a caring community of faith to educate our children.

I am grateful to my parents who modeled their faith and encouraged my relationship with Christ.  I have always been called to share my faith through one-on-one relationships and through leadership roles.  I pray that I am always open to hear the call when he is asking me to serve and that I answer with a joyful heart.  My favorite bible verse is 1 Peter 2:9.  It indicates how treasured we are by God, setting us apart from the rest of the world.  It calls on us to share our salvation and the transformation that salvation brings to everyone.  I'm THAT special.  You're THAT special.  It helps me remember to value everyone, wherever they are in they're journey - because they are THAT valuable.
