Hello, CCS Families and Community! I am very privileged to be serving Central Christian School as your Music teacher. Allison, our three kids, our energetic Corgi, and I live in Fort Wayne, having lived in Ohio and Pennsylvania previously. We previously homeschooled, and now we are excited to have our kids enrolled at Central, where we look forward to serving in any way we can! Our family likes to spend time outside—hike, bike, run—and we have the goal of running a 5k together every month. We’re also avid readers and like to travel together.
After graduating from Indian Lake High School (OH) in 2006, I attended Wright State University where I studied Music Education and more importantly met Allison. I served as a music teacher in Ohio—guitar, general music, choir, band—with experiences ranging from PreK to college. After completing a Masters in Ministry from Cedarville University, Allison and I answered the call to ministry in 2021. Now, I pastor Shoaff Park Baptist Church here in Fort Wayne. Currently working on my Doctor in Ministry degree with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, I am passionate about connecting every aspect of the Christian life—including education—with Biblical discipleship. Jesus glorified in everything!
This is why I am excited about partnering with Central Christian School, both as a parent and a teacher. Jesus is clearly present and the staff are evidently passionate. I hope to not only impart music skills and knowledge but also inspire and equip the next generation of worshipers who will boldly follow God’s call on their lives.
My call from God started when I was young, as I had a marked understanding of Jesus as my Savior as an elementary-age kid. My junior year of high school, I realized after some involvement with Fellowship of Christian Athletes that Jesus should be in charge of my life. I prayed and asked Jesus Christ to make me more deeply committed to His Lordship. In college, after more intense time and training in prayer, Bible study and evangelism, I recognized that Jesus is my Life. At age 19, I was finally baptized and sensed my call into ministry, deciding to change my major to Music Education to fulfill this call. He continues to prove His faithfulness. No matter how hard the world shakes, Jesus is always constant.
Psalm 136:1, “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.”
